In Thrive, the author takes us on a journey to finding success by changing our definition of success. The traditional definition is only about money and power, but we need to add three other elements that are just as important: well-being, wisdom and giving. When you have all four elements in your life, you’ll be healthier and happier. You can also learn why getting some sleep will make you a better swimmer or how many times per day people look at their phones.

However, after fainting at her desk with a broken cheekbone, she realized that focusing on those two metrics had driven her to self-destructive behavior.

The rules of the workplace are very strict. This leads to a lot of stress, which is only made worse with technology. For example, your boss can send you an email at any time, even when you’re enjoying dinner with your family.

Stress is a factor in many health problems. It causes heart disease, diabetes, addiction and eating disorders. Stress affects women more than men because of the biological differences between them.

As you can see, stress is dangerous to your health and well-being. Therefore, it’s important to take care of yourself by decreasing stress levels in order to live a healthier life.

One way to take care of yourself is by getting enough sleep and finding time during the day to connect with your inner self.

And despite what you might think, success doesn’t mean sacrificing your well-being.

The author’s friend quit her stressful job after having a baby. Instead of being a typical stay-at-home mom, she started a start-up, opened up a preschool and started her own synagogue. She is still successful but now she lives on her terms.
