1-Page Summary of The Game

Overview

You’ve always been a very bright man. You’re nice and helpful, too. But you still don’t get laid. So how can you change that? How can you improve your prospects with women? The answer is to learn from other people who have done it before: men who know what they are doing when it comes to flirting successfully with women.

This passage gives us a brief history of the seduction community and its rise in America during the 1980s. The author knew many of these people and has first-hand knowledge about them.

In this article, you will discover the problems with pickup lines and how one guru managed to get paid for having sex. You’ll also learn about a leader in the seduction community who convinced women that it was a privilege to have sex with him.

Big Idea #1: A group of people have been exchanging pickup advice since the 1980s.

There are some people who are popular in high school and others who aren’t. As they mature, most people become more popular, but there are those that remain unpopular.

Well, luckily that can all change. But it helps to understand that men have always been focused on the mechanics of seduction. That’s because not everyone is born looking drop-dead handsome like James Dean, and many must rely on their wits to attract women. For instance, think of Casanova who conquered one woman after another using nothing but pure charm.

The race to discuss modern tactics was started by Eric Weber, who wrote a book in 1970 called How to Pick Up Girls.

The decades that followed saw the birth of an entire online community focused on one thing: helping men around the world to trade tips on becoming pickup artists or PUAs. This community used blogs, websites and chatrooms to exchange advice about seducing women.

The community has a lot of information. The author was new and it had over 3,000 online posts, amounting to 2,500 written pages of seduction advice. It’s grown exponentially since then.

But, while the internet was just a start, the web-based seduction community soon became physical. This happened because some gurus had more influence and respect than others, and they taught their personal methods of seduction.

For this reason, the seduction community branched out from its virtual roots and entered the real world. In the early 2000s, gurus began holding workshops designed to teach men how to pick up women in public places.

We don’t have the time to attend a workshop, but we can still learn from it. There are many tips and tricks that will help us in our quest for success.

Big Idea #2: Hypnosis is a very effective method of seduction

The seduction community has developed a variety of techniques for attracting women. One of those is hypnosis – which Ross Jeffries used himself and often taught to others.

Ross Jeffries is the founder of the pickup community. He has written many books and given seminars on how to attract women using hypnosis and psychology.

The basic idea of this book is that emotions can be manipulated through gestures and word patterns. This means a man can arouse a woman through speech alone, so much so that she’ll want to go to bed with him. For instance, Jeffries once demonstrated his technique for the author by asking a waitress to recall the last time she was attracted to someone and find that emotion in her body.

He pointed out to her that the longer he held his hand up, the more she’d feel an emotion. He said that when he lifted his hand, it would remind her of this feeling and make her want to be with him. Jeffries left with the waitress’ number.
